This page shares our joint report ‘Loops as Leverage - Spatial Framework for Circular Neighbourhoods: Case of Koundampalyam, Coimbatore’. This is an outcome of a collaborative journey we embarked on from early 2021, through the Covai Urban Design Competition.
Loops as Leverage puts ‘urban circularity’ at the forefront of urban development and presents a replicable and scalable spatial framework that leverages the loops of PEOPLE, WATER, FOOD, and ENERGY to drive ‘just’ urban development. This report takes the reader through the design process and proposal to create India’s first Circular Neighbourhood in Koundampalayam, Covai.
